The Directorate General of Consular and Maritime Affairs has issued Resolution 603-04-122-ALCN of 5 July 1985 exempting from the obligation of holding the "Certificate of Crew Accommodation" every cargo vessel of less than 500 GRT.
It is stated, however, that these cargo vessels of less than 500 GRT will be subject to the inspection of crew quarters when surveys for the issuance of safety certificates for vessels under 500 GRT are performed.
