Some Maritime Administrations may require foreign flag ships carrying solid bulk cargoes listed in the IMO Code and calling at their ports to be issued with a "Document of Compliance" with the Code of Safe Practice for Solid Bulk Cargoes (BC Code) Appendices A, B, and C.

In this event, the cognizant Class Society or Other Recognized Organization will request authorization form this office to issue the "Declaration of Conformance" with the IMO BC Code.
